More ★ Noel :: Sara Mari's Giveaway

Hey guys~!

So for some of you who are following Momoeri's blog - you guys may have seen her post about the More Noel iPod/iPhone app:

As you guys can see it's similar to a purikura app in that you get the pretty bokeh effect and the stars.

Pros

My favorite part of this app is that it really brightens the pictures like in the purikura booths!
So it's like a purikura booth... OUTSIDE OF A PURIKURA BOOTH!! Like woah~

Another thing I really like about the app is the way that the effects look. They don't look sticky, pasted, and ugly. They're very pretty and shiny looking ヽ(´―`)ノ

It's free!

Cons

There are only two effects you have in the app. The sparkle and the bokeh. It would have been nice if they added more into the app. But it's a free app, so I'm happy with it.

I wish we had more control of the contrasts and brightening.

☆.。.:*・゚☆.。.:*・゚☆☆.。.:*・゚☆.。.:*・゚☆

Each effect has three different degrees - going from lightest and most subtle to brightest and more dramatic.

Here are examples of the sparkle effects from the lightest to brightest degree:

As you guys can see it works better with pictures that have more contrast in them. Overall, I love this app, it's simple, fast, and the results are cute! ъ(`―^)

☆ New Jewerich Lashes ☆

Hey dears~

So some of you may know from an earlier post that I've been dyying for Jewerich lashes no. 2 - well I found some on e-bay a few weeks ago and decided to order them.

With shipping it all comes out to ~20$ - I'd say about the equivalent of Dollywink lashes with tax give or take a buck or so.

It took around a week and a half for it to get here - not bad. I'd actually expected longer.

Aaand here it is~ I was happy but at the same time I wasn't happy when it arrived. This was mainly because of reasons not pertaining to the lashes.

My kitten had gotten stuck in my neighbor's garage and it was midnight when I came home and found out. She hadn't eaten the entire day and was crying trying to get out of the garage. My neighbors were sleeping so I couldn't wake them up. (*´д`*) So I was worried the entire night and couldn't really feel happy about the lashes' arrival. We got her out the next morning so she's good.

Anyways - I gave the lashes a test run and my they were thick and dramatic!

Lashband: The lashband was stiff - kind of like Diamond Lash lashbands. So you kind of need to wear them in a little - at least that's what I do to get the shape I want.

Design: I love the design! The lashes are looong, thick and dramatic. I love the pointy ends that give an edge to the design and help to make the lashes more noticeable. Now since these lashes are extremely thick and full, I find that it is better to place them from a third distance from the inner corner of your eyes if you have large eyes like me. Otherwise, you kind of get this look

Instead of this:

/failed drawings. They don't really help with me explaining this hahaha. But I did have fun drawing them.

Anyways, yeah I just prefer placing my lashes from a third of my eye from the inner corner:

Like that, hahaha.

Well, without further ado, here are a few pictures of me wearing them... with my kuromi!! My dear partner in crime:

I'll take better pictures of me wearing them soon - hopefully during the day. And I won't confuse you guys next time with my failed diagrams.

My Beauty Diary Face Mask Review: Cooling Mask

Hi guys!

Mei here and I'm reviewing the Cooling Mask from My Beauty Diary.

Here is the packaging and these are the ingredients and claims (which I took from the website because I can't read Chinese (*゜―゜) )

Main Ingredients

† Witch Hazel, Amica: Soothes skin

† Menthol, Peppermint: Lowers skin temperature

† Calendula, Scotch Broom: Softens skin

† Compound extracts of yeast: Nourishes and moisturizes skin

Appeals/Characteristics:

Cools, soothes and nourishes skin. For use on normal skin

☆.。.:*・゚☆.。.:*・゚☆☆.。.:*・゚☆.。.:*・゚☆

I removed the mask from the packaging and it comes out looking like this:

It was pretty drenched with the serum and smelled of minty... menthol...y. Not the best scent out of all the other My Beauty Diary masks I've tried, but it wasn't bad.

When I put it on my face, after a while, I felt like this tingly feeling on my skin. It wasn't irritation, more like it felt minty. I liked it - especially in this hot summer weather. An so I left it on for 30 minutes and took it off and rubbed the remaining serum on my face until it all absorbed.

Here is a before picture of my face. As you can see I have eyebags from hell.

Here's an after image:

After using the mask, my face felt more supple, soft, and brighter. I felt that it made my face feel fuller and it decreased the puffiness on my eyebags. My face felt glowy and nice heehee. I would recommend this to you guys but ONLY if you guys can stand the minty menthol smell. I know some people can't stand it (>∇<;)

Stay cool~~

❤ Mei

Contacts Review ☆

Hey guys~ so lately, I've been feeling pretty.... well... blah.... for lack of a better word, hahaha.

My contacts expired and they were like my best friends. So I hadn't felt like dressing up and stuff, but!!! I just got my new ones in the mail, so I'm happy (>∇<;)

Purchased the Green Apple Bambi Lenses from Pinky Paradise

And, I used the code D-tan had given out in her Pinky Paradise review, so here's what was in my package:

Here it is on me in natural outdoor lighting.

With flash (my camera tends to give off a yellow hue when using flash):

These are my eyes without contacts (or lashes) for reference:

So yeah, the green can be pretty striking depending on the lighting around you.

☆ Comfort: I love it! You have the occasional dryness, but compared to the Candy Magic brown lenses I had, these ones feel different. It feels less dry in my eyes and I think the thickness of the contacts is different as well.

At first I thought they were thinner than the Candy Magic ones I had, but after several uses, I'm starting to think that they're thicker. I haven't looked up and compared the thicknesses though, so I can't say for sure.

☆ Design/ Color : Okay, so they're not exactly the most natural lenses you've ever seen, but I do dig the design. At first glance, I didn't think it would really show up on the eyes, but it does. I love love looove the tri-color thing they have going on. In the middle you see that they do have some yellow in the design that gradients to a green. This yellow helps the brown in my eyes transition to the green.

☆ Price: So over at Pinky Paradise, they're selling it for 23.90. Not bad, pretty good actually considering how comfortable it is for me.

☆ Shipping time: They stated 7-14 days for the cheapest shipping. Got mine in 7 days - so I'm happy and not complaining.

Something I do have to say though is that after I purchased my lenses, my order never showed up in my history of transactions in my Pinky Paradise account. So after three days of nothing there, I sent them two e-mails - why? Because I realized after I typed out the first one, I received a failure to deliver notice in my mailbox. Tried it again, (this time I actually waited to check if it went through) nada. Didn't go through.

So yeah, I scrapped the idea of contacting them through their facebook page. Got back to me in like 10 minutes, gave me my tracking number, etc. BUT I still didn't have it in my previous orders. Whatever. The package came. Now that it's here, the transaction history shows up, hahaha. Nothing big, but just thought I'd like to let you guys know in case this happens to any of you. Don't freak out like I did.

Well, that's all for now~
❤ Mei

Mini update!

Hello! Rina here!

I've recently passed my DMV driving test and is currently GOING CRAZY!
Because, I need a car. (: Hehehe. But you see, I want a beautiful car so I can stick with it for like a long time. :D And not regret it.

Anyways, on to the mini update-ness.

"Coffee" Cake. You think it'll taste like coffee...

WRONG! it's actually coconut cake inside and the top frosting is almond vanilla. (:
Made by mom for my step dads birthday.

Frost design L'oreal Highlights.

My review: It practically bleaches your hair. (: And it's actually quite fun to do since you have a cap and you pull your hair through small holes with a hook. BUT! it takes a while to do the whole process. Honestly, I should've left the dye in longer to have the light blonde colour. ): Oh well.

It was on sale at Target. (: So I have no idea if they're keeping this brand or if it's like getting rid of stock. I don't know.

Telescopic Explosion. (: Amazing. It has like this super cool brush thats... A ROUND BALL!

My review: It works well.. I just don't like the fact that you have to work hard for lash coverage. Like when you use a normal mascara, it's a long big brush, but with this, it's like... brush here. brush there, brush here, brush there, brush, brush. yeaaa. It's a lot of work. But I do like the results. No more clump-ness!

Forever21 panties. Yay!

Forever21 Bras! They're soo cute right now. (: and super sexy!

xo

Follow Up Review and Satomin make-up

Hey guys!~ It's Mei here

I thought it would be a good idea to do a follow up review of two of the make-up products I'm using.

First, I'm going to do a follow up review on

The Milani Infinite Liquid Eye Liner I bought maybe two months ago or so.

Recently, whenever I take it out to use it, the consistency has been clumpy, coagulated, and thick. I like to take my time with applying my liners, and usually, it doesn't affect the liner when I keep it opened.
However, I think it affects this liner, because since the day I've bought it, it has become thicker and stickier. Kind of makes me sad (*゜―゜) I really like the way it stays on (as well as how painstakingly difficult it is to remove).

Well, I bought it for what? 7 or 8 bucks? Although there are resemblances to M.A.C's Liquidlast Liner, it's still not going to beat it. You get what you pay for, haha.

Second, I want to re-review the Melliesh Honey Apricot Gloss I bought

Recently, something that I've been noticing with this one is that the top layer of the gloss doesn't stay on for too long. I will usually have to reapply after every two or three hours to get that nice liquid shine (which I tend to LOVE). It's still great with moisturizing after long hours.

 ☆.。.:*・゚☆.。.:*・゚☆☆.。.:*・゚☆.。.:*・゚☆

So today, I've been trying out Satomin's make-up style. I love her make-up!! It's very sweet, with pink lips, cheeks, and round eyes. I really like the round dolly eye effect she has, and I realized that (in my case) it has a lot to do with the placement of the lashes around the eyes.

I hope you've all been having a good week so far. I've been so bogged down by midterms, homework, and recital preparations, hahaha. So hopefully, things will settle down after this month.

❤ Mei

Love Buys! & San Diego 100th Anniversary Parade of Flight

Wooo! Valentines Day is tomorrow! Excitement!

Sorry for not updating lately. I've been preoccupied by watching movies. ):
So I'll make it up. Hehehe. I've a couple reviews to do on some of the bath powders as well. So that'll be the last things I talk about in this post.

(: ON TO THE UPDATE!

Palty Hair Bleach. Yay! My hair ended up orange-ish so meh. ): But I'll be redying it on valentines day early in the morning to Palty's Milk Tea colour. I know it's unhealthy to be dying your hair within one week, but I seriously can't deal with my orange-yellowish colour.

Here we have..from what they say skin whitening bath powders. It's actually.. I think.. a deep cleansing. Like lifting the dead cells. I tried the one on the right and it smells so yummy!! I just love it.

A clear clip board. It's doing 2 jobs for me. A laptop table... since my laptop is actually a pink net book as well as being a normal clip board. (: so it works out so well.

Isn't it puuurdy. hahaha.

A-Plus pens from Korea. I love this brand so much. It's like a thin write.

Bahaha. Rilakkuma! note book. I just found out today that they sold the HUUUGE Rilakkuma at Morning Glory yesterday. >: I wanted it. But they'll restock soon.. ): or so they saay.

Guess accessories! I'm actually not sure if its nickel free. >:

That's prettty much it for my recent buys. (:

San Diego Naval Aviation Show!

Woo. Man was it crowded. Traffic EVERYWHERE!

Okay honestly, we were so bored.. I ended up taking random pictures of EVERYTHING!
One example: My boyfriend belt. Hahaha.

It's not flying. >: its just being held up by a pillar thingy.

GAH! Orange hair. Yes it's a terrible shot. and I'm not all dressed up: no lashes, beautiful make up, pretty hair, contacts. >: such a mess.

This was the gate we had to go through. For some reason, the camera was focusing on something else. >:

Oh yess! Do you see it? I see it. :D and no they're not geese. It's actually air planes!

Just some pictures of the air planes on base. I think it's the Navy's bases' first time to let the public in. So it was nice.

The foodies we ate: Brats. Hahahaha! Actually, it was more like sausages. So it wasn't too tasty.

There was more and we were able to experience going in the planes.

During this trip, I learned a couple of things:

1. Plan ahead.
2. Be ready for the long ride.
3. Sleep earlier.

Yea, most of the day we spent in traffic. There was so many cars. >: we were approximately in the car for like a good 6 hours and then we went off and enjoyed the show for like 1 hour or so and back into the car we go. So yea. But my boyfriend and I slept most of the way in traffic. SO it wasn't THAT bad. (:

Review!

Orange Splash: It feels sooo nice when you get it and when you get out, you're skin feels extremely soft. The only thing that bugs me is the smell. I'm not a big fan. It doesn't really have a nice orange smell. And the water turns out a murky gray.

Soda scent: It's like showering in Ramune! But without the sticky-ness. It doesnt really feel like theres anything different when you get out. I only enjoyed the crackling noise and the smell. (: But other than that, it left my skin like when you use an Irish Spring soap.

Rose Champagne: Oh my. Wonders. That is all. BUY IT!

Juicy Apple: ... Same. Beautiful. Wonderful. BUY IT!

Milk and Honey: This one concentrates on moisturizing. It's really nice and it smells wonderful. It has this goo affect. So it kinda freaked me out, But when you get out of the bath, you feel so smooth. (:

This review is from my point of view, so it might work differently on your skin and what not. Or you prefer this more than that. Hahaha. But they all work real nice. So I like it.

I recommend the Juicy Apple, Rose Champagne, and Milk&Honey.

Hehe. We'll I'm off for now!

xoxo
